Built by people who had to do the checks
TaskProof started in a care home kitchen, with a clipboard, a fridge round and a folder nobody could find when it mattered. It is the tool we wanted on those mornings.
Paper doesn’t fail loudly
A paper check goes wrong quietly. The fridge round gets done and the sheet doesn’t get filled in. A temperature gets written in the wrong column. Someone covers a shift, does everything right, and signs a page that ends up in the wrong folder. Nothing looks broken until an inspector asks for last Tuesday.
Then you lose a morning to it. Pulling binders together, squinting at a signature, working out whether the gap means nobody did the check or nobody wrote it down. You already know the kitchen was fine. Proving it is the hard part, and proving it is the whole job.
So TaskProof is built around the record rather than the task. Do the check on a phone, in the cold, with gloves on, in a walk-in with no signal. What you get at the other end is something an inspector can trust and you don’t have to defend.

Four things we won’t trade away
These are the decisions that shaped the product. They cost us features and they cost us revenue, and we would make all four again.
A record nobody can rewrite
Once a check is signed it is fixed. A correction is a new entry that says who changed what and why, with the original still underneath. Nobody can quietly edit the past, and that includes us. A record you could edit would be worth less to an inspector, and so it would be worth less to you.
The person doing the work shouldn’t need an account
An agency cook covering a Tuesday picks their name off the roster and signs with a finger. No email, no password, no waiting for someone to set them up. Charging per person would mean charging homes more for having enough staff, which is the wrong way round.
Your records are yours
If you stop paying, the account goes read-only. Everything already recorded stays readable, still exports, and the audit pack still builds. Holding a home’s compliance history hostage over an invoice would be a strange thing for a compliance company to do.
The price goes on the page
Roughly half this market makes you book a call before anyone will tell you what it costs. Ours is £30 a site a month, written down, with what’s in each plan next to it. You can decide we’re too expensive without ever talking to us.
The short list
A compliance product that played fast and loose with data would be a poor advertisement for itself.
- No resident or patient records. TaskProof has nowhere to put them. The work is organised by room, by dish and by piece of equipment, and anything a handover note says about a person stays out of the audit pack unless a manager deliberately includes it.
- No trackers, no analytics, no third-party scripts. Not in the app and not on this website. Two strictly-necessary cookies, which is why you weren’t asked to accept anything when you arrived.
- No location data in your photos. A photo taken on a check has its EXIF stripped, including GPS, on the phone before it uploads anywhere.
- No AI deciding anything. It reads an allergen label, pulls an expiry date off a certificate, drafts a check from a description. Then a person reads it and a person publishes it. It does the typing, never the deciding.
New, and not pretending otherwise
You won’t find a wall of logos here
TaskProof is early. We could fill this page with stock photography and invented percentages like everyone else, and you’d have no way of checking any of it. We would rather show you the actual screens, publish the actual price, and let you judge the thing itself.
We set up every new customer ourselves
There's no sign-up button on the website yet, and that's on purpose. We'd rather sit with you, build your checks around how your home actually runs, and know it works before you rely on it.
Being early is worth something to you
When you ask for something, you’re asking the people who write it. A missing check, an awkward bit of your routine that doesn’t fit the form, a report your inspector wants in a particular shape. Say so and it gets looked at properly, not filed.
Questions we’ll answer straight
Where your data sits, what happens if we disappear, what we can and can’t see from our end. Ask on the call, or email support@taskproof.co.uk. If the honest answer is “not yet”, that’s the answer you’ll get.
Twenty minutes on a video call. We'll do a real round.
Tell us a bit about your home or your kitchen and we'll set up a call. You'll watch a round get done on a phone, see the record it leaves behind, and see what an inspector gets handed. Bring the awkward questions.
- You'll be talking to someone who has worked a care home kitchen, not a sales team
- We can set your own checks up on the call if you want
- No obligation, and nobody will chase you afterwards
